Remembering that he was supposed to be driving, Zavien focused again on the street, familiar with the grooves of pavement hidden beneath the snow, attention grasping at thinly veiled lines and street signs while he listened. Sol pushed his head between them, refusing to let Soh stop the scratches in the midst of her story, especially since she'd taken his spot in the car.
