RE: in vino veritas - Aithne - 01-06-2026

Aithne is not what one might call a wine connoisseur, if only because her age and inexperience have kept her from experiencing a wide range of the different flavors that exist. She vaguely prefers reds to whites (simply because it looks more like blood), but otherwise has no real opinion on the topic. Fortunately, Astaroth seems to be quite capable of making a recommendation that Aithne can latch onto, and she nods enthusiastically as he turns a question onto the group at large.

Without any solid opinion to share, Aithne largely remains quiet, waiting to see what everyone else has to say. Given that Asta was one of the first to welcome her to the world as a new Ancient, she is particularly eager to support his opinion, but that doesn't mean that there aren't others to be had.

Aithne stays quiet for now, but will probably vote cabernet sauvignon!

RE: in vino veritas - Charlie - 01-08-2026

Charlie lets out a soft, pleased hum as the conversation turns, clearly enjoying the way this meeting was going. When Astaroth names his preferred vintage, her head tilts almost immediately, blue eyes sliding toward Aithne first. She flashes the young acolyte a fanged, conspiratorial grin, one brow lifting. [say]"Asta has impeccable taste,"[/say] Charlie says lightly, the word lingering just long enough to carry more than one meaning. Her eyes widen in exaggerated innocence a heartbeat later, the expression doing absolutely nothing to hide the suggestive undertone.

Then her attention drifts back to Dantalion, her smile softening into something warmer and distinctly indulgent. [say]"I’m inclined to trust Asta's expert opinion,"[/say] she purrs, folding her hands together as though the decision has already been made.

Charlie goes with Asta's choice!

RE: in vino veritas - Fox - 01-09-2026

The Temple it is, and Fox smiles a soft kiss against Kiada's hair, dropped there almost automatically. When the conversation turns to the type of wine, he comes up empty almost immediately. A beer or liquor drinker by habit, he's not much for wine unless it's offered to him already in the glass, and even then he's the type of man to politely drink what he's given.

And so although he bristles at the sound of Astaroth's voice, his fingers skimming gently across Kia's hip, he hates to say it, but he's not inclined to argue with him.

[say]"I won't rock the boat,"[/say] he speaks out with a gentle nod. [say]"I know nothing about wine, so if a cabernet is what everyone else prefers, I'm in."[/say] And let's be honest, he'll barely taste it if he's drinking it to heal a wound.

Fox gives his agreement with everyone else!

RE: in vino veritas - Kiada - 01-14-2026

Leaning into the press of Fox’s lips to her temple, Kiada leans a little heavier into her husband at her side, listening with zero qualms as Asta offers his own thoughts and everyone else simply seems to come to the same conclusion. Flashing a bright smile as Fox speaks up, she peers up at him curiously.

She knows full well that Fox isn’t a wine drinker – neither is she at the end of the day. But they both have that same internal conclusion that they’d be drinking it more for the healing than the taste – and between the two, she’d prefer the wine over regular boring water anyway. “[say]Sounds good to me![/say]” She chimes in shortly after Fox, her tail winding around Fox’s leg as her gaze flits back toward Danta for the rest of the meeting.

Kiada agrees with the wine choice!

RE: in vino veritas - Dantalion - 01-15-2026

Everyone gives their two cents - and by their it appears it's actually just an echo of Asta's opinion - and that suits Danta just fine. [say]"The cabernet it is,"[/say] he trills to the gathering. [say]"I'll make sure to mention as much to our dark lady when it's time to fill the fountain."[/say] Gesturing to the group at large, it's with an easy shrug that he more or less closes the meeting.

[say]"Those were the only major snags before we can get to work on this, so thanks for showing up and chatting shit,"[/say] he announces, clapping his hands together. [say]"Feel free to stay and hang around if you want; I'm sure Charlie would adore a larger group to entertain for a while. Otherwise, I'm sure we'll see each other soon."[/say]
