The acceptance of her idea brightens her, and with it Kiada beams her smile over at her husband and nods to his suggestion – making a perfect team to guide them across the bone bridges. It works well, thankfully, with Kiada leading the way across and ensuring that the unicorns were comfortable and happy.
And they seem to remain that way once they reach the other side, continuing on with the rest of their party and all the unicorns they should have had until the ranch hands leave them. Danta’s confidence in getting them to the Inner Quarter reflects on her and she nods her eager agreement – quietly far too excited to get the unicorns back so that she might be able to sleep in her own bed (even if half the time she ends up using Fox as such, she’s sure he doesn’t mind).
Tasks listed out and with Asta picking the scouting route, she feels like she’s had good enough luck to stay with the unicorns to count them and make sure none of them panic. “[say]I’ll stick with the herd.[/say]” She hums, stretching out a little to get started once they all depart for their positions.
Kia chooses to stick with the herd and check in on them!

The afternoon passes without incident, much to Fox's relief, and being back on familiar ground also does wonders for him after the bumpy start to the day on the barge. Opting to switch between four legs and two, where the herd of unicorns are still wary of the fyrhund, they seem much more agreeable towards the hunter, and by the time they stop at the farm he's even managing to feed one of the creatures an apple from his hand.
He'd be lying to say he wasn't tired after their second day on the road, but the prospect of being done is too good to ignore. And with Kiada's immediate agreement, that's all he needs to nod along with the plan. [say]"I'll watch our backs,"[/say] he decides; it's a task he's performed dozens of times in the past, and with a steady ball of flame hovering above one hand, he drops to the very back of the herd to keep an eye out.
If he's lucky, maybe Kia will even pay him a visit as the night goes on.
Fox takes watch at the back of the herd with a ball of fire to provide light!

Everyone is quick to choose their tasks, leaving Danta up front to lead the way - not a place he's complaining about being either, if he's honest. Smiling a kiss back against Asta's lips and swatting playfully at his backside as he departs, whilst it will be a fairly boring night with the butcher out scouting around them, Danta won't deny that he does feel better about the other man being the one to keep an eye on their surroundings.
Fire flares around the Maverick in delicate ribbons to keep a source of light for the rest of them to follow; it's a good deal more flamboyant than Fox's straightforward ball of flame, yes, but it's equally as bright. And with light at the top and tail of the herd and Kia within it to keep the animals calm, truly the only thing they need to worry about is getting tired overnight.
Still, that's sleep they can catch up on after they've finished the last leg of this task.
