RE: sounds like a blast - Melita - 03-11-2026 The cannon predicament of who could touch what was fair, and she listened, head tilting at each suggestion. The numbers game was fair and balanced consideration, no surprise coming from Isla. Though, she had to admit, based on Lyra’s suggestion, it wouldn’t take much for Melita, or any of her ilk, to consider utilizing cannons for ‘illicit activities’. While certainly not aiming it at Torchline, the Honeybee simply liked the fire power and weaponry aspects. [say]“Two sounds fine to me,” [/say]she granted in accord; pondering over the ample and rampant possibilities of needing those individuals – they’d all seen quite a lot. RE: sounds like a blast - Flora - 03-11-2026 Flora listens as the responses ripple outward through the garden, the sound of agreement moving through the crowd in a low, easy murmur. Her gaze drifts between them as they speak, from Lyra’s thoughtful certainty to Melita’s ready acceptance, though it lingers a moment longer on Isla and Remi, where the Bastion now stands cradling the impossibly small bundle of Isla's baby against his chest. The sight tugs a quick, crooked grin from Flora before she tips her head slightly toward Isla. [say]"Wellllll,'[/say] she says lightly, voice carrying just enough to reach them both, [say]"who needs magic numbers when Torchline’s already got a kraken?"[/say] Her brows bounce once in Remi’s direction, before she straightens again, turning her attention back to the gathered Torchers. [say]"Alright,"[/say] she announces, clapping her hands together once with a sharp, satisfied sound that gathers the room again. [say]"That settles it." [/say] Her grin widens, bright and certain.[say]"The cannon will go on the docks, placed at the start of the port so anything sailing in knows exactly what they’re sailing into."[/say] Her fingers lift briefly as she ticks off the last point. [say]"And it’ll require two Torchers to operate it."[/say] Her shoulders lift in a small, pleased shrug. [say]"Thanks everyone!"[/say] ~FIN |
