If she didn’t know better, she would think Everest was doing this on purpose, and only her knowledge of the aviator’s personality stopped her from glaring daggers at him. It wasn’t actually even his fault that the desk was

[say]”I didn’t mean to imply otherwise.”[/say] The next piece had Soh wriggling into place in the botanist’s arms, which honestly was a great deal less awkward than their first position. [say]”This is cozy,”[/say] she said with a grin. If this was all going to become a big joke, she may as well find a way to laugh about it. She screwed in the piece they were working on before slipping out of Mateo’s arms.

[say]"I could check my notes if you're interested. I should have a roughly correct estimate."[/say] Everest volunteers, of course assuming that the time of times Mateo has come in the city must be referring to his coming and going via skyboat.
[say]"Of course I am doing this on purpose. I'm the one with the instructions."[/say] The aviator says with a puzzled frown, though the fact that he's clearly missed something is not altogether that surprising given who he is and how he thinks.
However as his friends straighten, Everest notices the flush of colour in both their cheeks and looks suddenly quite concerned. [say]"Perhaps I should finish on my own. You two don't look so well. Perhaps some water...?"[/say] Sounding like a polite fluffer in a porno, the aviator puts down the instructions and hurries to get both Sohalia and Mateo something to drink.
