RE: if we never made a sound - Sohalia - 10-20-2024 Soh was not particularly familiar with the gods. Sure, she knew of them, and she'd interacted with them on a few occasions, either on a personal level or as the Heart of Stormbreak. But she certainly wouldn't say she knew them well, so having Tal's input on her options was something that she valued more than she could say. So, too, was his agreement that her ideas about items to request would be helpful. [say]"Which one would you go to?"[/say] she asked, tilting her head thoughtfully. Safrin made the girl nervous; she'd heard some things about the goddess that made her wonder if she wanted to get tangled up with her. But Ludo... it was known for being tricksy, and she wasn't particularly sure if she was ready to face that. As for her current quest for Frey... [say]"They just said to catch a whisper fish. I can release it once it's caught, but I have to catch one."[/say] Not that it mattered currently. Even if she didn't have to be the one to catch it, she certainly wouldn't ask anyone else to go into the Greatwood at the moment. It just wasn't worth it. [say]"I could always try to finish the quest later..."[/say] she said, trailing off. If the Void was ever ousted from the Greatwood, that is. RE: if we never made a sound - Talyson - 10-20-2024 That was a potentially dangerous question, and one that gave Tal a moment's pause. Even he had never chosen which god to ask for favors willy-nilly, though he'd spread his requests of them out pretty evenly over the years. There had always been some sort of rhyme or reason to which one he'd prayed to for which item... though as much as he loved Mort, he was leery of going back to Ludo ever again. "Safrin," he finally said, though slowly. "None o' th'gods are safe," he continued, part admission and part warning. "But I'm doin' a quest for Safrin right now, t'make my Vest even stronger." He rapped his knuckles on the supple, stony, magical garment proudly, and the silver pinstripes on it seemed to shimmer. "Still gotta mine some silver from somewhere. Th'Climb or th'Fangs, I guess." He grimaced faintly and shrugged. "Haven't decided which yet." He listened to her own quest details, chewing his lip in deep consideration. "Well... let's work on t'other parts first," he offered. "When you're ready t'head back into th'Greatwood we'll put our heads together an' see what we can come up with." Pushing their empty plates aside he leaned forward, taking out a grubby notepad to scribble down some notes. "So, what else is on your list...?" ~Fin |
