RE: every single hot take is cold as ice - Iskra - 10-30-2025 A bright laugh answers Melita's alternative, ever prone to considering the mess of the world. [say]"That'd do just fine too,"[/say] he grins, unbothered by the possibility as their hands fit together and their feet find a tempo. He leans, trusting her to maintain her grip, his own curling tight around her as they begin to pivot into a wild twister of laughter and windsung hair. Hers trails long after her, a comet by all rights as the bonfire gilds it in amber glow. [say]"READY?"[/say] he shouts over to her, features sliding from delight into mischief. [say]"On the count of three, we let go and try not to fall."[/say] Or puke, once the world tried to keep spinning after they had stopped. [say]"One,"[/say] he counts, fingers tightening firmer, as if suspicious she might try to release her grasp early. [say]"Two,"[/say] he calls out, increasing the speed briefly as they turn. [say]"Three!"[/say] He staggers around as his legs try to find balance, his hands straightening outs of hers. The world tilts to and fro, and if he's not doubling over in search of stability, it's breath after the glee of it all. RE: every single hot take is cold as ice - Melita - 10-31-2025 Her glance became wry and narrowed – suspicious, specious, pondering if he was going to pull the first punch or follow through on the offered plan. The steady counting drilled its way into her ear, then she had to make her own determinations; to release early and flicker away, or go along with the less than foolproof designation. In the end, she remained steady and firm, waiting for him to unfurl – and when he seemed to do exactly as he said, she snorted, and then was sent skittering on the propulsion. With a heavy amount of laughter, she immediately crashed into the sand, dizzy and unsteady, the lack of coordination clear despite no consumption of alcohol yet. [say]“That was so ridiculous,”[/say] she countered with nothing more than glee on her features and the sea breeze wrapped around her. |
