His mental walls are indeed up, but at the realisation that Flora isn't planning to come with him back towards the Ark, the captain frowns. It isn't so much that she's not accompanying him and more that it looks as if she and the tall Ancient are headed in the same direction, and it's with a brief but firm squeeze against her arm and a raise of his eyebrows that he asks a silent are you fucking sure about this.
Then again, having just seen the Doubletake take down a boggart with expert precision whilst he'd had to rely on her to make himself invisible and is still in the process of actively bleeding out about it, there's little to worry about from that perspective. But even so.
[say]"Th'Ark will be at Jack Tar for a few days - then I'm headed to Hak Etme. Mirage crab to kill."[/say] And if I see you before then, you're welcome to join me, is what he doesn't say. Doesn't need to, he hopes.
[say]"Thanks for the help."[/say] With a final nod between them, the captain departs without looking back.
