RE: we were jet-set, bonnie and clyde - Flora - 11-06-2024 Wondering if the captain meant to give her a shake or perhaps flick her nose for her sass, the feel of his finger pressed against her lips has a wide smile tugging at Flora's mouth; one that she resists if only to press an apologetic kiss against his finger. [say]"As if you have to ask."[/say] She hums softly. Of course she didn't have a problem with it. Nothing could be farther from the truth, in fact. Not even remotely tired, Flora shifted herself ever so slightly in order to let her fingertips starfish against Jack's skull as the other lightly rested against his shoulder. While her thoughts moments before had been lurid and easily aroused, not the Doubletake shifted her mind into the sort of place Jack might find some peace. Recalling the sunlit pathways and towering oaks of her childhood, Flora infused the Greatwood with the Arclight, adding the vastness of the ocean at an impossible proximity to the woods. [say]"wooshshwooshshshshwhshhshs."[/say] She whispered under her breath as the landscape within her thoughts focused on the blue-green waves and how they constantly tumbled upon untouched sands. Even the motion of her fingers through Jack's hair reiterated their movement, all of which were tied directly to the slow beat of her own heart. RE: we were jet-set, bonnie and clyde - Jack - 11-06-2024 [say]"Mm, that's what I thought,"[/say] Jack mumbles, letting his hand drop back around her and smirking into her shoulder, content to shade himself against the world in the press of her body and the unfurling of her mind. There's no resistance to him as her fingers spiderweb through his hair, the captain relaxing into the sun dappled pathways of her memory and the branches that stretch and shift overhead. Scoffing and giving her a gentle nudge at her own addition of wave noises, Jack nevertheless allows the pull of it and Flora's thoughts towards ocean song and the wind billowing across white sands. And whilst the Doubletake might not be tired, she does an exquisite job of lulling the captain to sleep. Just a few minutes, a nap, he had said, but who ever says that and means it? Still, if Flora gets bored, she can always give him a sharp elbow and kick him out of bed. ~FIN |
