She thinks she's supposed to grow tired of this, the honeymoon phase as so many call it, but given how they've come back to each other time and again Ru wonders if this is just how it feels to be truly in love. An eternity of this seems like a blessing she doesn't deserve, and she's glad he agrees that no amount of gratitude to Frey can ever balance those scales.
When the water is hot enough - scalding to anyone else - Hotaru uses her clinginess to drag him into its spray, golden hair going damp and dark immediately as she turns her back to the water and moves onto her toes to kiss him properly. [say]I love you,[/say] she whispers, though he'll hear her loud and clear. Just to remind him once more.
