RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Astaroth - 05-11-2025 They emerge on the heels of Flora as she flashes them a wink and departs into the bathroom. Already finding a few drinks on the edge of the bar as they pass, snagging a beautifully colored orange and blood red cocktail for Dantalion (a new York sour, for those looking), he passes it off to his lover before snatching another pina colada for himself. He’s fairly confident the other ones he’d had would be nothing but melted now, the butcher’s content to sip from a fresh one as his arm slips around @Danta’s lower back to keep him close. He can hear the shouts of shots and of body shots, deftly ignoring the antics in favor for leaning in a touch closer to the Maverick, his bearded cheek brushing against Danta’s ear. “[say]Shall we get another table, love?[/say]” He asks, his steps pausing where they’ve stepped to the side, gaze scanning the open options before glancing back just in time to see Flora slip behind the bar to make herself a drink, flashing her a small smile before his attention is wholly and utterly on the Maverick. RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Dantalion - 05-12-2025 Winking back to Flora as she effortlessly takes herself away to freshen up - and to make herself something suitably spectacular to drink - Danta is happy to be ferried along with Astaroth as he deftly steers them through the crowd. [say]"I think that's a very good idea,"[/say] he murmurs as he accepts his new cocktail from the butcher, head tipping back just enough so he can peer up at him with a smile curling across his lips. [say]"I can spy a suitable candidate just over there,"[/say] he adds, nodding through the throngs of people to a small, self contained little booth where they might drink and lurk to their heart's content. Danta isn't adverse to body shots, of course - or watching whatever chaos is unfolding - but at least for the next few moments, he can appreciate a bit of distance and privacy. RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Liam - 05-12-2025 With his drink delivered and Maea found, Liam relaxed against the bar, although he raised a brow to see her down two drinks in quick succession. He looked to He couldn't remember the last time he'd drank to let loose and have a good time rather than to chase away the bad, but maybe tonight could change that. There was good company, good music, and good drinks, and he'd be damned if he'd come all this way with Maea to be a downer. He turned his head to the Ancient. [say]"Want another? What are you having?"[/say] Then, to Hadama: [say]"Think we can keep up?"[/say] RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Hadama - 05-12-2025 "Indeed." Hadama raised his glass to return Liam's cheer, and then toasted again to Maea before he took a swallow of his own sugary drink. It was not a large swallow in comparison to his size, but relative to Maea's drink it was a significant portion of the frozen liquid. He lowered it, emerald eyes gleaming with amused challenge as he tilted his head at Liam's whiskey. "A drink for sipping. Or for forgetting the world." That would not do. Not tonight. Instead he raised his head to catch Nova's sparkling wave and beckoned her over from her place behind the bar. "Three Kaiholo Sunrises, please," he requested, and there was a gleam of wickedness behind the slight, courteous smile that lightened his expression. "Extra sun. And extra glitter." Not that they usually came with glitter, but he knew who he was asking to mix the drinks. The pineapple went without saying in Torchline. The tequila as well. The raspberry liquor was a delightful addition to elevate the drink and bring out the sweetness. But it was the jalapenos muddled with lime juice in the shaker before the rest of the ingredients were added and strained that gave the Sunrise its heat. Surprise. RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Maea - 05-14-2025 As the burn of alcohol spread like wildfire through her veins, Maea decided that a 'no heartbreak' sign should be tacked onto everything she did from now on. Would Flora object if she stole it and made a necklace out of it? She could nail it above the door to the Treehouse and make it a daily mantra. [say]"Yeah, keep 'em coming,"[/say] she replied to Liam, as she emptied the rest of one drink, [say]"and see if I can't keep up with both of you..."[/say] Winking to Hadama, she drained the other and set the glasses aside. Now her hands were empty, ready to be filled with liqour or sunrises - or hell, why not tell her to drink the sun itself? See if she wouldn't give it her best shot. RE: one shot, two shot, coppertone-red - Flora - 05-14-2025 Flora clambers up onto the bar like it’s a stage, barefoot and flushed, curls wild and lips sugar-sticky from too many stolen sips of too many cocktails. Her hair gleams under the low lights, and the gold rings on her fingers glint as she raises both arms overhead, commanding the room’s attention with all the effortless magnetism of someone born to run a bar. [say]"Alright, you glitter-soaked disasters,"[/say] she calls out, voice hoarse with laughter and salt air and too much shouting over music. [say]"Last round’s on me—get your shots, your smooches, your questionable decisions in now, because in ten minutes, I want you all out of my bar."[/say] There’s a chorus of groans and cheers, someone yells I LOVE YOU and she blows them all a kiss as if bestowing upon them a blessing. [say]"Thank you for coming,"[/say] she adds, a little softer, though her grin is still bright. [say]"You’ve all made my last night here one for the fucking books."[/say] And with that, she hops down, twirls a little for no one but herself, and makes her way back to the bar to help Nova shut it all down, but not before banging on a few of the suspiciously closed doors and yelling HURRY UP, bar's closing. ~FIN |
