We have received the following from Ronin Taliesin. Please use this information with an abundance of caution in your travels:

As you may have heard from the latest broadcast, Flora Kaito-Taliesin was attacked in the Greatwood. Whilst Flora is alive and will hopefully make a full recovery, I can confirm that the man responsible for the attack is a member of The Family.

More so than this, he possesses Wilde's Rapier, the relic that can potentially cause death with one blow. I know this, because he took it from me by force.

If you see this man, do not approach him.

Springs Destroyed

Over LongNight, the healing springs in the Fangs were destroyed. Please exercise extreme caution in the meantime, as we work to rebuild it over the upcoming seasons.

RODEO COMIN’ TO KING’S END!

Dust off your boots and mark your calendars — a rip-roarin’ rodeo is ridin’ into King’s End during LongHeat! There’ll be thrillin’ mounted events, rowdy contests, and a whole herd of vendors slingin’ goods from sunup to sundown. Bring your grit, your appetite, and your best hat — it’s gonna be a wild one!

LOOKIN’ FOR A FEW GOOD RIDES!
If you’ve got a mythical shift and wouldn’t mind playin’ the part of a bull in the ring — Colt’s lookin’ to wrangle ya. Swing by or send word her way if you’re willin’ to give the crowd a real show!

OOC note: At some point in LongHeat we'll be hosting a rodeo mini event/threads, with the main event being different characters in mythical shifts acting as bulls, and different characters trying to ride them for 8 seconds. It's 5 MP to enter as a bull rider, winner gets the pot of MP and maybe a belt buckle with +1 luck if Colt can acquire and finish her quest in time :)

Looking for hands to help raise a supply cabin before Deepfrost. Work will be cutting timber, hauling, roofing. Payment in kind, trade, or food.

SECOND ANNUAL DEADIRON RODEO

Get out your yee-haw and head to Deadiron Ranch in King’s End this Longheat for a good old-fashioned rodeo. There’ll be heart-poundin’ mounted events, no-holds-barred contests, and vendors lined up all day hawkin’ wares ‘til the sun finally dips. Bring your hat and come hungry, there’s no shortage of trouble to get into.

Riders brave enough to chase the prize, and bulls a little outside the usual, are welcome. If you’re thinkin’ of doin’ more than watchin’, get in touch with Colt Winchester and throw your name in the ring.

Healing Hot Springs Available Again!

Due to the combined efforts of Halo citizens, the healing capabilities of the hot springs have been returned once more. Whether soaking in it or drinking from it, your ailments will be put to ease, and it can be bottled for later use within Halo's borders.

Halo has completed their RQ and the waters of Safrin's Mirror now have the following property:

Safrin's Mirror | The waters of Safrin's Mirror possess Mastered-Level healing waters. If bottled, this water can be used to heal while in Halo. Once removed from Halo's borders, it becomes regular water.

For Safrin and Vi, there is a new shrine near the Olson Hunting Lodge. All are welcome to seek the god and herald there. Let it be a waypoint of hope and safety on the tundra.

Temperature Improvements

With Safrin's oversight and the work of many Halo citizens, the temperature around the Citadel will stay tolerable all year round! While shorts may still not be advised, you should be able to find continual relief within these borders and thrive in comfort.

Halo has completed their regional quest for Safrin and received:
Starlight Braziers | Braziers that shine with balls of suspended starlight all around the Citadel that ensure the city's temperatures will never drop below 0°C even during Deepfrost.
