RE: the corner I haunt - Flora - 09-24-2024

[say]"When you dress like that instead of how you dress normally? Yes."[/say] Flora counters with a grin. Knowing now what she knew about Jack she had ever reason to think he was just as dangerous with a towel wrapped around his waist as with knives strapped to his hips, but even so, she doubted if he'd tend to the more unsavoury aspects of his business dressed as he presently was.

[say]"Sounds familiar."[/say] Flora hums slyly, though if there was any sort of comparison to be made between Jack's feelings and actions toward his ship and toward the Doubletake, Flora would just as soon not think about it.

[say]"Mmm, I bet she'll need some of the same altitude-proofing that the regular skyships have."[/say] She hums, before glancing up at Jack and smirking. [say]"Good thing we've taken all those skyship flights lately for you to take notes, huh?"[/say]

RE: the corner I haunt - Jack - 09-24-2024

[say]"Clearly you haven't been on The Ark enough in the mornin' if what I'm wearin' is a surprise for you,"[/say] Jack rumbles, half because it's true and half because he's as prone to dressing down as much as anyone, provided he doesn't have anywhere to be or anyone to bother. Either way, it's something the Doubletake is likely to rectify in the coming days and weeks based on recent changes.

Smirking at the comparison he hears both in Flora's words and in her mind, Jack can only give her a nudge with his hip for that around another sip of coffee. [say]"Mm, altitude-proofin', some reinforcements to the hull maybe, a general once over..."[/say] His nod is distant, as if he's already considering it. But not too much - not today at least.

[say]"C'mon,"[/say] he mutters, peeling himself away from her to saunter back across the deck. [say]"Let's go peruse my notes."[/say] You know. In his cabin. Without any clothes on.
