cascade ocean wave blues - Alys - 10-04-2024 New Haven sprawled across the lands of Mourn, and Alys wandered its streets with interest. Since she'd been traveling the world with Tal, she hadn't yet had a chance to see King's End's newest town, but as she browsed the shops and restaurants of the newly-established village, she felt a swell of pride in their home. It was a perfectly built little town, and it was nice to see King's End growing past the bounds of Wrenzoak's Refuge. So, too, was it nice to boast more than a brothel to attract visitors. Not, of course, that there was anything wrong with a brothel, but it certainly wasn't the kind of place that Alys was one to frequent. No, the seer was far more likely to be found in and among the shops that dotted the streets of New Haven. She'd gotten a taste for shopping when she'd first met Hotaru, and now that she had money of her own to spend, she rather enjoyed browsing the wares in the windows. One particular shop in New Haven had caught her eye: it was a little occult tea shop, which offered many of the same products that Alys herself had for sale back in her own store. Despite the fact that it was a competitor, the seer couldn't help but exit with a few new crystals and candles to add to her collection. Carrying a small bag of the goodies she'd purchased, Alys paused in front of the store and looked around. Where should she explore next? RE: cascade ocean wave blues - Catalina - 10-04-2024 As Catalina wandered through New Haven, arms full of maps she had just gathered from different vendors, her eyes danced across the vibrant scenery of the bustling village. She barely managed to balance the rolls of parchment as she turned a corner, her gaze caught by a shop selling exotic-looking trinkets and tea blends. A spark of curiosity lit her features, but before she could take a closer look, someone collided with her shoulder. [say] "Whoa—!" [/say] Catalina exclaimed as the impact jolted her. The maps slipped from her grip, scattering across the cobbled street like fallen autumn leaves. Her wide eyes darted after them as they tumbled in different directions. [say] "Oh no!" [/say] she muttered, kneeling down quickly to start gathering the loose papers. People walked past without much notice, and Catalina found herself scrambling awkwardly to catch the nearest map as it rolled just out of reach. Looking up, she spotted a woman standing nearby, carrying a small bag of what looked like crystals and candles. [say] "Sorry about the mess," [/say] Catalina laughed lightly, though her cheeks flushed with a hint of embarrassment as she collected the last of her maps, clutching them to her chest. [say] "Crowded today, huh?" [/say] she added with a friendly smile, straightening up as she tried to brush off the awkwardness of the moment. RE: cascade ocean wave blues - Alys - 10-05-2024 Alys was just exiting the shop when a commotion caught her eye; nearby, a pair of passersby had collided, sending a collection of maps cascading to the ground. Almost without thinking, Alys reached out a hand, calling upon her telekinesis to pull the furthest maps back towards their owner, preventing them from flowing too far into the street. Then she knelt, trying to assist in gathering the scattered parchments back up. The owner of the maps was a woman several years younger than Alys, with fire-red hair and freckles - pretty in an effortless sort of way that Alys envied. In comparison, her own dark brown hair felt rather drab and lifeless - especially given that they were in the height of summer, and her curls were rather wilted. As the stranger apologized, Alys offered a small, friendly smile. [say]"It's no trouble,"[/say] she reassured the young woman. [say]"Are you alright?"[/say] |
