moves to its own laws - Deimos - 10-19-2024
Thunderbird wings and a clasped bag in his talons took him over the brink of the lands – traversing with all the fortitude, might, and tenacity firmly lodged in his soul. A thousand other things mired through his mind, and he had plenty of time to do so after letters and allotted hours. How effective would this venture be? What about the lost tool? How were they supposed to gain it back? And what if they didn’t, couldn’t? That old familiar dread lined his bones as he flew, glancing downward into the eventuality of the Greatwood, and all the purple haze contorting from it.
He shifted to the smaller golden eagle size to look less obvious; and began his drifting descent, watchful eyes and superior, predacious senses keyed in on the surroundings. When nothing lunged at him initially, he took the plunge, landing upon the forest’s soil, and taking a moment to breathe.
When he was in his back in his Sword form, he snagged the jar out of his Bag of Holding; just the same as when Flora had handed it over to him. Lifting the glass away, he gently and deftly lowered the lily towards the soil, utilizing and peeling apart layers underneath with his earthen magic, to ensure it was content, upright, and cast within the depths safely and securely.
