eyes like a storm - Melita - 11-09-2024

Seasons of trickery, deceit, and silliness were favored in Melita’s line of work and temperament, so as she sauntered towards her favored Ludo shrine, scampering over the water, then the deck, as if borne to it, she brought along similar offerings. With a merry little cackle, she settled a horde of skeletal nesting dolls upon the shelving (if the herald were to peer within, it would find that the shapes altered; until finally through witches, ghouls, and goblins, there was a tiny bat at the end), along with some pumpkin-shaped taffy. [say]“Hey Ludo,”[/say] she eventually unfurled, head tilting vaguely. [say]“I hope I’ve been doin’ okay with all the demi stuff,”[/say] she handwaved – the only slight reveal that she might’ve been a little self-conscious and hoping to continue winning the deity’s approval – she rarely cared about anyone else’s. Dying probably hadn't been high on the to-do list.

Thereafter came her second enterprise and motivation, and she held tight to the armament in mind, hand grasping the dark, wooden frame. [say]“I was hoping I could make this stronger,”[/say] her staff – one of her first weapons amidst Caido. And while it had always been a fond, treasured, and preferred choice, her bow and arrows had come first in retrospect – what with the need for longer ranges. That didn’t mean Siabhran was any less valuable, and she wanted the potency of such a weapon armed and barbed for the future.

[say]Melita is hoping for a quest to upgrade her staff:

Type: Dark | Style: Other | Level: Basic
Siabhran | A staff reinforced with the sap of a Wicker Woman. Black as pitch and veined with amber, this staff is nigh unbreakable. Those who are struck with it may experience mild hallucinations lasting up to ten minutes.

Regional Score bonus: +11 in all shrine visits, drops, PQ+s, KQs, etc. (You must post this at the bottom of any post where a +11 should be included)[/say]

RE: eyes like a storm - Ludo - 11-19-2024

[say]"Hello sweetling."[/say] Rather than the disembodied spooky voice that the majority of people experience when petitioning Ludo, Melita has long surpassed those rubes; the deity who appears before her once again takes the shape of a dark haired, dark eyed child whose blackened fingertips reach eagerly for both taffy and nesting dolls. [say]"Oh, you have been doing wonderfully. I really enjoyed you drawing on Remi's face,"[/say] it informs her, unstacking the dolls and letting out a victorious AHA at finally reaching the little bat.

[say]"Mm? Oh, that? Sure thing."[/say] Shoving the taffy (all the taffy, yes, all of the taffy) into its mouth, it reaches for the staff, tapping it here and there before nodding. [say]"'Eesh 'at'u 'eed oo'oo."[/say]

Melita has received a quest! She must:

1. Complete a training thread using Siabhran - bonus points if someone gets bonked on the head.
2. Complete a thread collecting a Dream Cactus from Hak Etme. Don't get pricked! (Or... do?)
3. Complete a thread capturing a Treeflit from the Oerwoud.
4. Complete a thread filling someone's house/bedroom with balloons. No reason, Ludo just thinks it would be funny.

RE: eyes like a storm - Melita - 11-20-2024

The dark haired and dark eyes child appearing caused a widened grin, and the eagerness of taffy and nesting dolls all the more. Eager to win approval, and content when she snagged it, she beamed with her Cheshire expanse, proud and wild. [say]“I did too. I think scaring that Thorn guy was my favorite though.”[/say] Even if it led the stranger to a lifetime of trauma, at least it was somewhat interesting and he’d always have a story to tell.

She nodded at the other necessities to upgrade Siabhran though; paying utmost attention to head bonking (gods, there were quite a few she could do that too and be more than satisfied), dream cactus collecting, treeflit grabbing, and filling a house with balloons – which, hohoho, she already had a target in mind. [say]“These are great! I won’t let you down!”[/say] Granting a salute, she tucked the staff back into her bag, and placed the list into memory – conspiring already taking place and she started to wave on her way out. [say]“I’ll see you soon!”[/say] With more candy and toys too.
