made a mess of me - Sohalia - 12-19-2024
It had been two years since Sohalia had received her quest from Frey, and she had to admit to some trepidation as she approached the shrine in the Greatwood. They seemed like the forgiving sort, but even so, two years was a long time, and the girl was ashamed that it had taken her so long. It was just that between her messy love life, her time as Stormbreak's Heart, and everything that had happened with the Family and the Void... well, a quest just for her had taken a bit of a backseat.
Soh approached the shrine with some seeds she'd picked up from the Fae, seeds for various winter crops that would excel even in the coldest of Deepfrosts. These she sat in a little hand-carved bowl upon the shrine, kneeling before it reverently. [say]"Frey? I'm sorry it's been so long. I hope I'm not too late, but I've finished the tasks you set for me."[/say] Then she waited, head bowed, hoping she wouldn't be in trouble with the deity for her tardiness.

HEARings (1 & 2) | A pair of earrings that, when worn by two individuals, allows communication between them. Communication is only one way (i.e. HEARing 1 may speak and HEARing 2 may hear, but cannot respond)
- once in twenty lifetimes | Complete a thread catching a Whisper Fish. You may release the fish afterwards if you like.
- [Training] [SE] the sound of silence | Complete a training thread without speaking verbally to your opponent. Hand gestures, etc. are allowed.
- invisible smoke | Complete a thread mining ore from the Climb - the type of ore is up to you, but you must bring it to Frey at the end of the quest.
- Shhhhh | Complete a thread where both participants only communicate via whispering.

We'll be back soon. That's what Jude had said when he and Sohalia had departed to complete the quest they had given to them. And now Jude is not even in sight when Soh approaches. Luckily for Stormbreak's broken Heart, nature is patient and wild and ever changing, ever moving on, and so when Frey appears, their fingers reaching for the seeds which instantly begin to sprout and flourish.
[say]"Imagine how long it must take for an ant to travel a distance we would cover in ten strides,"[/say] it says softly, helping to grow the plants and flowers further and carefully setting them down into the earth beside the Crimson Cataract.
[say]"The time does not matter. What matters is the journey, and the journey's end."[/say] Nodding towards the ore she'd brought, with a snap and pulse of power, Sohalia will find in its place two beautiful studded earrings.
[say]"Use them well."[/say]
Sohalia has completed her quest and has received the following!

Frey appeared, and Soh immediately lowered her gaze, a respectful gesture that portrayed her guilt for having taken so long to return. But they reached their fingers towards the seeds and plants began to grow, flourishing instantly, and Soh slowly began to relax. Surely if her offering was accepted, that would indicate that her tardiness was forgiven?
And then Frey spoke, further soothing her worries, and she smiled at them as they deposited her offered seeds into the earth beneath the Crimson Cataract. The deity snapped their fingers, and the ore that Sohalia had brought was instantly transformed into two beautiful, studded earrings that she picked up reverently. [say]"Thank you, Frey,"[/say] she said with a demure nod, placing both earrings into her ears until she could decide what to do with them. [say]"I will do my best to do so."[/say]
