If the entertainer had her druthers, she’d have learned a lot more about this fae woman, but as it is, she can see she’ll get no more specifics out of Ianto. Inwardly, she’s rather disappointed, but outwardly gives a wide smile as if nothing were the matter. Lily will just have to make it work, like she has most everything else in her life. Glancing down at her notes, she nods decisively and puts the quill down, then pushes herself back from the table and stretches her hand and shoulders a bit.
[say] “I think I do. Can’t guarantee the quality of my first attempt at an epic ode, but I’m excited for the challenge.”[/say]
And then, like a good host, she offers the man more tea or biscuits, and if he accepts, continues to talk about unmportant things. If he defers, she ushers him out the door and bids him good night.
