forget all that is wrong - Sunjata - 03-31-2025

It’s his favorite shrine – partly because it was the one he’d created and partly because he spends a lot of time here, too. He supposes it makes sense, given that it was the one space he feels quite peaceful in. And so, it’s where he comes to listen to the windchimes, to take a deep breath and try to relax from the pain still lingering in his shoulder from the descent of Starfall.

Setting down offerings of a varied type – because he’d never met Rae before, not knowing what they preferred, the Flood had chosen a variety of ripe fruits that he knows Frey likes, amongst a variety of flowers newly bloomed from Flowerbirth’s rains and sun. “[say]Rae, I’ve never called to you before... But I was wondering if you might spare me some time to help us protect against the void..?[/say]” He makes his call with his head lowered, dressed modestly in a warm green sweater because of the stiffness still in his arms and a bruised shoulder after a few healing cycles – running the mix of magical healing and traditional healing, trying to balance them both out.

“[say]I know I’m late, compared to everyone else. But we were hoping there was a way to protect the Barrows from the creatures, if you have a way to help us?[/say]” Lifting his chin, he watches the flame flicker in the center of the shrine and the reflection of it in the mini waterfall that fills the space around it.

Sunjata prays to Rae! If he doesn’t roll for them, I’ll use MP <3

They appear, one twin just a half step ahead of the other, and yet it is impossible to say where one ends and the other begins. Four spring-green eyes drink in the offerings. Their robes, colored in unassuming earthen browns, fall still about their ankles—untouched by the movement of the air.
For a moment, they only watch. The water’s hush and the flicker of the shrine’s fire reflect upon their expressionless faces, painting them in warmth.

[say]"You are late."[/say] [say]"You will be late again."[/say] Two voices from the same throat, calm and uninflected. They glance at the offerings but show no sign of interest or approval.

[say]"It can be done,"[/say] they say in unison after a moment's consideration, before explaining the tasks needed to protect the Barrows.  With that, they disappear, leaving only the quiet tumble of water and the soft echo of windchimes in their wake.

Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 7 active Enders. This means 4 unique characters have to participate. Characters can participate more than once. Sunjata must participate in at least 2 threads.

1. A thread of at least 3 Enders gathering flowers from Meadowreach

2. A PQ placing those flowers all around the borders of the Barrows. Must have 8 rounds.

3. A thread with at least 1 Ender, capturing a void Flora or Fauna from every major region (SB, TL, H, HG, KE), kept alive and brought at the time of turn-in, OR acquiring a void crystal.

He isn’t sure what he expected, if he’s being honest. But as they appear, Sunjata’s attention immediately flickers up – eager and hopeful that his request is one that he still has time to accomplish. He’s silent as they watch, not wanting to interrupt anything they might be taking in, but he can’t help the way his scarred brows lift slightly to hear that he would be late again.

It’s cryptic in a way that he’s going to likely be thinking about for some time to come. But there’s relief that floods his shoulders when they say that it can be done, listening to the tasks eagerly, offering a soft “[say]thank you so much, Rae.[/say]” Just as they disappear and he’s left with the water and the echo of windchimes. Taking a few moments to commit the tasks to memory, the Flood leaves the offerings at the shrine regardless, and takes his departure.
