we are mosaics - Deimos - 04-01-2025 After returning home, to family, to friends, to mending and healing and blood no longer pooling across his shoulders or dimming thoughts on the nature of caves and monsters – Deimos made his way to the Citadel shrine. From days where they’d thought their tasks would be surefire and feasible, to failed negotiations and vicious assaults upon his citizens, there’d been moments where the Sword had thought them all stretched thin. The determination hadn’t wavered, but the process had become thoroughly more difficult – but stalwart, tenacious, and fervently stubborn, the Warden had once again stepped into danger for all of them, and somewhat prevailed. The void crystal in his pocket told a litany of stories; from the potential of slain monsters to the absolute, unraveled chaos, but all of it was worth it. Soon, the Citadel would be warded off from the void, and they’d be protected, shielded, from the viciousness of yetis or titans thundering at their doors. There, at the altar, he kneeled, bowing his head, releasing a long, slow breath, before beginning again. [say]“Vi – we have done as you required.”[/say] And from there, another step in the right direction. -- [say]Halo has completed their regional quest task acquired here: to the shadows and light to block void creatures from the Citadel. Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 8 active Halovians. This means 4 unique characters have to participate. Characters can participate more than once. Deimos must participate in at least 2 threads. 1. A thread of at least 3 Halovians gathering evergreen boughs from the Greenwing - Deimos, Sah, Rhiannon – [RQ] branch out 2. A PQ placing those boughs all around the borders of the Citadel. Must have 8 rounds. - Deimos, Elizabeth, Sah – [PQ][RQ] poplar around here 3. A thread with at least 1 Halovian, capturing a void Flora or Fauna from every major region (SB, H, HG, KE), kept alive and brought at the time of turn-in. OR one vein of Void Crystal from within Starfall Island. Deimos - Void crystal obtained – [KQ] We know what we're fighting for[/say] RE: we are mosaics - Vi - 04-01-2025 [say]"I know it was not easy to accomplish this."[/say] Vi appears silently before the shrine, dropping smoothly to one knee to beckon the void crystal from Deimos's pocket with a visible mix of disdain and wariness. It hovers between them, pulsing ominously, and Vi doesn't grace it with his attention for more than a few seconds. [say]"But your people will thank you for your efforts. And so do I."[/say] Straightening once more, the crystal will seem to flicker as veins of golden luminescence creep across its surface, before it disappears with a crack of violent light. And as for Deimos, any residual aches and pains he might feel will vanish alongside the crystal, lifting some of the physical weight from his shoulders at least, leaving him rejuvinated and ready, once again, to face what comes next. Halo has completed their RQ and has received the following: Vi's Barrier | A faintly visible golden barrier covers all of The Citadel and its boards. Void flora and fauna cannot enter the area. RE: we are mosaics - Deimos - 04-01-2025 He stilled entirely in the presence of Vi – simply watching, waiting, as void crystals were lulled and turned into something far more practical than ominous for their world. Vi’s acknowledgment of their struggles caused him to nod, for his eyes to follow the tracks in gilded luminescence – and what it all meant. Protection. And how they’d have to continue, onward and onward, until it was over. [say]“Thank you again for the chance,”[/say] he offered thereafter, head bowed, feeling the sudden shift in any lingering aches and pains drifting away. The other portions on his shoulders, the impending movements towards things again, would always manage to stay. [say]“We will keep striving,”[/say] was a promise, and then they could dissipate, back into what was necessary and vital. [FIN] |
