willingness to act - Melita - 06-14-2025 [say]“Have you ever fought in a skyship?”[/say] She asked, pondering it further, airing out her frustrations as only Melita could – with a huff, stomping noisily through the surroundings. [say]“So much harder than I thought it’d be!”[/say] Which meant she’d have to strategize more; she certainly loved and adored her Firecracker; she’d just had some very high expectations of the whole thing. Waving her hand around as if to dissuade her own flaring temper, she kept bounding forward and spied along the undergrowth.[say] “Anyway – I was useless - but Ronin and Hadama were channeled and beat the fucking piss out of this gigantic fuckin landshark,”[/say] emphasizing the expanse as she expanded her hands and arms from one another. [say]“Desert is cleansed.”[/say] And that’d been the ultimate goal, after all. RE: willingness to act - Sunjata - 06-14-2025 “[say]Nope.[/say]” Sunjata hums with a soft laugh, wincing shortly after because he can only imagine how confusing it likely was. He refrains from telling her he’s only been on a skyship a handful of times, more likely to fly there himself than wait around to be carried. He remains tempered, though, mood even as he glances around the area again in search for something vibrant red. Looking back to her with the raise of his brows, his smile is lopsided and content when he whistles a soft little sound. “[say]No shit, really? That’s great.[/say]” One less place to worry about eases some of the worries lingering in his chest. RE: willingness to act - Melita - 06-14-2025 Sunjata’s less than helpful response ensured there was a haughty roll of her eyes, but she didn’t continue lamenting the point. She’d have to figure things out – maybe some sort of training – eventually, and she continued to wind herself around the Mathair’s gigantic roots, peering amidst for some telltale sign of a rose. [say]“Yeah,”[/say] she answered absentmindedly, narrowing her eyes and already beginning to change subjects in her mercurial little mindset. [say]“Which makes me think about the Oerwoud next. Again.”[/say] Poor fucking place, constantly being undermined. [say]“Just so we have some fucking chances to gain ground again, y’know.”[/say] And it’d probably be helpful – if her ilk could go tackle the infected areas, his cohort would be free to go infiltrate Starfall again and again. RE: willingness to act - Sunjata - 06-14-2025 He hadn’t even fought while flying with his wings, if he’s being honest. Most of his abilities came from water and he was often strongest when standing within the confines of it - so long as it was naturally occurring. So he tended to do most of his fighting on solid ground unless completely shifted, choosing a dragon’s lightning over the water magic wing combination. Though, maybe that’s because of how he’d gotten one of his wings broken, that he was far more cautious with them out than he might have once been. It’s hard to say. Sunjata nods, though, as she mentions the Oerwoud. A place Sunjata adored, honestly, but that rarely been to as of late. “[say]Yeah, would be nice.[/say]” To gain a bit more traction. “[say]Oh, I dunno if I told ya, but I did get some blood.[/say]” His voice drops a bit quieter, shooting her a small smile. “[say]We’re making another portion of King’s End safe.[/say]” RE: willingness to act - Melita - 06-14-2025 Melita huffed again, the puff of air filitering through and hitting loose hair out of her face. [say]“Nothing here either,”[/say] and she kicked at one of the mounds of dirt and grass nearby with her toe, pretending like it was the earth’s fault. As for the other things, her brow arched. [say]“Ohhh, after all that shit? Good. I got Iskra out of there after shit really went down. Sorry I couldn’t help any further.”[/say] She’d been hopeful that the arrow had been enough of a distraction – or perhaps something with blood on it – for her uncle to grasp upon and haul ass. [say]“All right, let’s head out of here and get a bite to eat, yeah? We can always come back later.”[/say] In hopes of more opportunities. [FIN] |
