an anomalily - Deimos - 06-17-2025 Frey’s Breath might have been a bit more promising, but after the minor venture with the Wicker Woman, Deimos opted to leave Erebos at home. He’d have to treat the youth to a family outing later on, when his attention could be more on the toddler, instead of hunting for flowers and ensuring none of them ended up in some horrendous danger. Which meant he drifted amidst the steamier portions, having not ventured here in a while (especially considering Halo had its own), but wandered and meandered towards the rocky outcroppings, rather than the water. When nothing was mustered there, he sighed, and opted for other proportions. [say]“I can look overhead,”[/say] he offered towards Sunjata, before shifting into his eagle emblems, instantly soaring above thermals and haze. RE: an anomalily - Sunjata - 06-17-2025 Frey’s Breath was further for him than the Greatwood was to home, but closer for Deimos. So with the minor setback in ensuring that Erebos was safe and back in the Citadel, Sunjata’s awaiting the Sword within the confines of Frey’s Breath where the heat was suffocatingly hot, but he does his best to lower the humidity in the air with a flick of water magic. Focusing on that, by the time he hears the announcement and the shift to wings, Sunjata nods and continues his search from the ground. “[say]The Climb at Longheat sucks.[/say]” Comes the quiet complaint, whether or not Deimos hears it or doesn’t, he feels at least a little bit better that it isn’t the only thought rattling around in his head while they look for lilies. RE: an anomalily - Deimos - 06-17-2025 He could hear the complaint, but as he was currently flying, there was no means to shrug. Instead, he gave a cool comment in regards, eagle eyes dashing back and forth over plumes of heat and thermals. [say]Could be worse – like the desert.[/say] Of which he often avoided, and even more so lately, with the infected portions once lingering there. Striving and hovering over one area, he moved swiftly to the next, content with at least unfurling his wings and liberating with some amount of freedom – not the way he might’ve dashed across the tundra munitions amidst Halo, but still, an opportunity nonetheless. RE: an anomalily - Sunjata - 06-17-2025 The ground was cooler than he imagines it was up higher, even with the radiating heat of the hot springs at his side. Parting the water only briefly to try and spot anything of note beneath the fog that lifts and condenses against the walls of the cavern, leaving everything shiny and with a sheen of nothing else but damp moisture. “[say]At least that’s a dry heat.[/say]” He wrinkles his nose as he continues to peruse, preferring the hot drier climates over the wet and damp ones. At least then, even if it was hot, he’d at least be able to breathe without the moisture in the air choking him. RE: an anomalily - Serendipity - 06-17-2025 You've encountered the OG random event! This allows you to skip one levelling requirement with the character in this thread. (Unfortunately does not count for characters over level 10, how sad.) RE: an anomalily - Deimos - 06-17-2025 If one were capable of wrinkling their beak, he would’ve; instead, he coasted along, seemingly unimpressed by both banter and the less and less likelihood of spotting any lilies. [say]I am not seeing anything[/say] he mustered, withholding a sigh ( [FIN] |
