the wind will be my hands - Sunjata - 02-18-2026 After much thought – and recent events that had him holding off on seeking out the gods for the means of the region Especially with heading into Leafchange and Deepfrost, Sunjata had learned that it was much easier to dig in the earth in King’s End when it wasn’t Deepfrost. So starting it now, perhaps they’d be able to knock out a portion of it before the weather turned against them. The windchimes trill softly with the light warm breeze and he dips his head – having planted a couple more flowers into the base of the shrine as the offering rather than bringing ones that may perish quickly. “[say]Rae,[/say]” he starts off, head bowed toward the shrine with the glinting flame within. “[say]Would you help us make a lazy river through the region that can also heal?[/say]” He isn’t sure what’s possible, but he does know if there’s a god that would help him figure out the steps and have the ability to make the impossible possible, it’s going to the top. Sunjata is asking Rae for a healing lazy river RQ! I’ll be paying with MP <3 RE: the wind will be my hands - Rae - 02-20-2026 Rae appears beside the shrine as twins, alike in height and bearing, standing shoulder to shoulder. Their clothing is simple and unadorned, earth-toned and clean. Their expressions are composed, unreadable. When they breathe, it is in rhythm. They study Sunjata. [say]"A lazy river,"[/say] they say together, their voices level and perfectly synchronized, layered so precisely that it is difficult to tell which mouth shapes which word, [say]"is not practical."[/say] One twin inclines their head. The other follows the motion a fraction of a second later. [say]"It does not appear in nature,"[/say] they continue, seamless, [say]"for a reason. It will stagnate. Circular waters will cultivate rot. I would never create such a thing."[/say] A brief, mirrored shake of their heads as they imagine manufactured edges and walls. [say]"You may have a real river,"[/say] one says evenly. [say]"Or you may have nothing,"[/say] the other finishes. Their eyes remain on him. [say]"There are methods,"[/say] one begins, [say]"to slow a body of water,"[/say] the other continues, [say]"as you should know,"[/say] they conclude in unison, their tone neither mocking nor kind, [say]"even if you are no longer called the Flood."[/say] They fold their hands behind their backs in identical motion. [say]"If you wish to proceed,"[/say] they say together, calm and precise, [say]"here is what you must do."[/say] KE has been given an RQ! Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 9 active Enders. This means 5 unique citizens have to participate. Citizens can participate more than once. Sunjata must participate in at least 2 threads. 1. A Mini Event of at least 4 Enders (with 3 posts each) discussing what board the Lazy River should be in. 2. A PQ of 4 (or more) Enders gathering a herd of unicorns to assist with #4. The PQ must go through 2 different boards in King's End, ending where the Lazy river will start. The thread will be split each time they enter into a new land. Must be completed after 1. 3. 1 thread of those with earth/growing/etc magic or attuned with compulsion abilities helping to relocate fauna that will be dispersed by the river and accommodating for the presence of a sudden body of water. Must take place after 1. 4. A PQ relocating trees and adjusting the height along the lazy river's pathway so that it will naturally flow slowly. 5. 1 thread of those with healing magic/shifts/items, or other light-based purification magic/abilities, purifying the land where the river will go. Must be completed after 1. RE: the wind will be my hands - Sunjata - 02-20-2026 They arrive in the incredible feat of unison, so in sync that if he hadn’t met them a few times before he might have found it jarring and intriguing. But it’s come to be what he expects from them, and he lifts his head as they arrive and start to explain extremely matter-of-factly that a lazy river wouldn’t be entirely possible. At least not like some amusement park ride, which Sunjata’s silently grateful for. He’d been imagining something like a slow version of a grand rapids, more akin to floating rather than the quick passage of getting from point A to point B – and honestly? The more natural appearing the better the Heartless would appreciate it. “[say]I understand.[/say]” He says softly, lifting his attention to let his steel gaze dance between them. A real river it is, one that can heal, one that can help his citizens should they need it. His lips twitch slightly at the mention of not being called the Flood anymore, but he dips his head regardless to receive the information they offer – committing it to memory so that they can start this. “[say]Thank you so much, Rae.[/say]” He hums, before he rises from where he’d been to pray. - FIN |
