gave it a shot - Melita - 03-21-2026 This particular march towards her favorite shrine found the Honeybee’s arms laden with items – all to purposefully spoil Ludo and announce the success of her own efforts. Triumphant and bold, she kneeled before the altar with all the riches of this morning’s baking and market haul – from lemon squares and their delightful aroma, caramels freshly cut, to the variety of bright whirligigs, all in vivid hues. Immediately setting several in motion with a few deep breaths, she watched them rotate and twirl on the next bout of sea breeze, before glancing upwards, awaiting the verdict of cannon fodder and fire. [say]“Ludo, I’ve completed my quest!”[/say] with all the entangled enthusiasm one might expect from a demigod of chaos. For she’d done exactly as asked – exploding Kaisel’s underwear with Koa, making confetti out of flowers with Aithne, using said décor to celebrate with Iskra (and admittedly get it all over his workshop), and cannonballed off of Flora’s diving board and into her glorious pool. All in all, perhaps one of the most entertaining tasks she’d ever done; and with the results pending and looming, maybe the success would be even richer (and more dazzling). -- [say]Melita has completed her quest from cannon you tell for her confetti cannon ability: Confetti Cannon: Upon a successful hit, opponents are marked with confetti, giving the next attack an advantage. 1. [/say] RE: gave it a shot - Ludo - 03-24-2026 [say]"SURPRISE!"[/say] The confetti cannon that Ludo lets off is made with traditional confetti, and it explodes over the shrine to rain down a rainbow of shredded paper across Melita and her offerings. Ludo follows a moment later, its child form scampering around the statue so it can pack up the endless treats and toys into its rags (where they - obviously - disappear into whatever pocket void it possesses). [say]"I have always wanted to do that,"[/say] it tells her proudly once it's finished, straightening up with proud hands on its hips. [say]"And now you can do it whenever you want!"[/say] it adds, as if it wasn't clear (because it wasn't) that by popping confetti all over her and the docks, Melita has gained a new ability. [say]"Congratulations!"[/say] Melita has finished her quest and has gained the following: Confetti Cannon: Fires a magical blast of confetti at an opponent. Range: 15ft. RE: gave it a shot - Melita - 03-25-2026 If Melita jumped, it was only for a split second; enough for her world to suddenly be surrounded in swirls of colored confetti and rainbow paper alike. Beaming, and suitably covered in the raining depictions, her delight came out in a loud, wild herald of laughter. [say]“You were excellent,”[/say] though she had to wonder if this was Ludo’s first experience with it (she doubted it, based on the current upheaval). As the treats were snagged and taken and shuffled back into rags and voids, she shook her head, endlessly amused. [say]“Thank you very much!”[/say] The surge of power, eager and fervent within her pulse, came upon a vibrant entity; and she was all the more eager to try it out on others as well. To a degree, probably. They’d see what was coming, but it’d be far too late. [say]“I’ll let you know how things turn out!”[/say] And then, with her own unpracticed blast towards the water, and another surge of confetti powering alongside the docks (and some fish suddenly floating nearby; upturned and clearly dead), she waved an adieu, utterly amused and convinced she’d made the exact, right choices in life.
