Deimos,
You told me to let you know if I have any news. Well, something happened here.
I've attached a sketch of the thing we fought. I've been studying the recorded flora and fauna here to prep for taming this region and I haven't found anything like this mentioned. Have you ever come across something like this?
Stranger still, when it was hit, this glowing substance would spill out instead of blood, and sand. When we killed it, it just...fell apart into sand. There was a pouch of sand left lying on the ground and that was it. A powerful illusion maybe? But this thing withstood several hits, including ones when Ronin and Remi were channeled in. I don't know any illusionist strong enough for that, do you?

Thank you for letting me know. Based on your sketch, I have never seen such a thing. I will record it in our records. Though it makes me wonder if it is connected to the strange circumstances we had go on in the Peepholes a few weeks prior. Was there anything associated with dreams or sleep?

Thank you Deimos. I'm heading to King's End for Longnight so I'll check their records too, just in case.
No, no dreams or sleep, other than it looked like a nightmare. It moved oddly, and was out of step with its shadow. It could teleport a bit too. Strange things when magic mixes with monsters, I know, but it was rather off-putting compared to your average fearsome beast.
I'll let you know if we find any more. For now, just the one.
