when the last light warms the rocks - Sunjata - 07-27-2026 It had taken a lot of time – not helped by the cold that still leaks into the world and the way the ground remains hardened because of it. But they’d managed to get the work done – optimistic as can be, Sunjata arrives to the Mourn shrine in a warm knitted grey sweater, a pair of dark jeans, boots, and his head held relatively high in the hopes that they’d done Rae proud. He doesn’t bring an offering this time, having learned the past few interactions with the twin deities, but he does bow his head before the little trickle of water in the shrine and the flowers trying to bloom, the way the lantern flame flickers gently with a breeze and sends the windchimes into a musical little note as they bump against one another. “[say]Rae, we’ve finished the quest for the healing river.[/say]” He murmurs, loud enough to reach the shrine but quiet enough to not disturb a bird picking through the grass nearby for worms. Turning in the RQ request obtained here: the wind will be my hands Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 9 active Enders. This means 5 unique citizens have to participate. They regard Sunjata with identical, unreadable expressions. [say]"No, you haven’t,"[/say] they say in unison. [say]"You were asked to help relocate the fauna displaced by the river you requested,"[/say] one twin continues, their voice level and precise. [say]"Instead, you merely frightened away the creatures that had made their homes in the valley and fields. You made the area intentionally inhospitable to them rather than attending to their needs and relocating them to equally suitable homes."[/say] Their attention shifts towards the future course of the river, where only mortal powers have been used to cleanse the ground. Rae tilts their heads in unison. [say]"What use were the unicorns you gathered,"[/say] they ask together, [say]"if not to purify the area?"[/say] They shake their heads in the same measured motion. [say]"Use the unicorns to cleanse this area properly, and see to it that the animals shoved out of their homes for your convenience have been cared for."[/say] |
