RE: thicker than blood - Loren - 09-09-2019

Loren blinked at Beatrix’s acceptance. That had been a lot easier than he’d been expecting, but he wasn’t going to question good fortune for once. However, as the children packed up their belongings and Jace climbed on Beatrix’s back, the summoner felt his heart sink. It was a sad sight, to be sure, and he was forced to wonder how many times they’d done this. Shifting to a kneeling position, Loren held out his arms. [say]”Hey Jacey, you want to ride with Uncle Loren instead?”[/say] Assuming they were both okay with that, the summoner would swing his nephew onto his back, grab his own pack, and then they’d set off back to the Manor. Loren was weak, but he would gladly carry this burden. And if he was using just a touch of telekinesis to make everything slightly lighter and balanced, well, the children would never know.

It was about time Loren started pulling his weight.
