RE: [SE] on this harvest moon - Sunjata - 11-24-2019

And it had worked for him well too, thus far. A simpler sort of bartering. He wonders if Jigano recalls when he had said he was a mercenary, wonders if perhaps some of the lines might make sense. But ah, that was for a different time, one where talk of fathers clinging to power and sons refusing to fall in line at the end took over. And no matter how much he tried to differentiate from his father, there were things too ingrained to him that pointed to it regardless.

A man of steel, of iron. If you cut him he’d bleed oil, as they’d all say hidden beneath an overpass.

Still, he manages a snort to Jigano’s comment of flying home this drunk, and Sunjata nods to him with a slight shrug. “[say]Keep me updated, will you? I haven’t tried yet.[/say]” Drunk as a panther, however, falling asleep in front of the fireplace sounded like the plan for the day. “[say]Thanks for the help earlier, too.[/say]” He nods to the bard, imagining the man can find his way out on his own, and perhaps ensuring that Haai makes it back inside.

RE: [SE] on this harvest moon - Jigano - 11-24-2019

"Aye aye, guildmaster," Jigano agreed with a mostly-steady salute and a cheerful grin. Later, when the alcohol had worn off and he had a chance to pull together fragments of their previous conversation he might notice what was different, lacking, or changed, but for the moment it was far from his thoughts. "Not a favor, that. Just helping a fellow blight survivor out," he assured the taller man with a smile that was more open and sincere.

He slid from his seat, standing with conscious effort and focused care for balance that was unsteady, though not so much as to endanger his walk to the door. Flying would be an adventure, yes, but not a scary one. Landing now... that would be the exciting part. He woke Isuma, gathering her up and letting Haai back in before he shut the door and hopped to a nearby stone wall, half-changed as he shifted more slowly than usual, only gaining his wings fully and shrinking down as he leaped from the wall and into the sky, making his way home through the deepening twilight to where Rory waited.
