In Deference - Hotaru - 11-19-2019
She knows it's unlikely to be answered, but she finds herself standing before the dusty offerings in the Atheneum, her own creation clutched in her palm. As she approaches, she sets it upon the shelf; a clear, gemlike heart with a hollow inside where a smaller blue heart resides. Perhaps a bit on the nose, but Hotaru knows only she will know who made it. What it means.
She kneels for a moment, golden hair caressing her cheeks as she bows her head. [Say]"Thank you, Lady Voice, for bringing Cassandra here. For letting me have one of my children back."[/say] Her voice is muted, only spoken aloud for her own benefit, but with a heart shattering sincerity. There is no gift great enough to thank the goddess for reuniting her with her youngest.

Hotaru’s words echo, soft and warm, throughout the dusty shelves of the hidden bookcase. The offering is appreciated, certainly, and a sense of calm descends upon the Abandoned and her prayer. There is, however, no response.
