The world spirals out before him in the wake of her words, sense memories and implications of things he has never seen outside of storybooks. As she fades with one last parting sweetness, he clings to every little glimpse of exploration she has given him. Only opening his eyes once she has fully departed, and smiling softly down at the starlight glittering up and down his arms. That too will fade, but surely this experience will not.
