Maybe it was a goodnight for him, but it certainly wasn’t for her. With each passing day she grew more and more discontent, ever more angry and irritable. He was worse than she could have expected. That he couldn’t even muster basic decency was baffling. And so she said nothing, silent and unmoving in the wake of his words, eyes closed as she hugged her legs ever tighter to her chest. But her mind whirred, unable to rest, even with the grogginess of alcohol weighing heavy on her mind. Not until the wee hours of the morning did she drift of, with the sudden realization that Jata was actively trying to make her miserable.
