The response eased a terrible weight in her, and Seren's sigh of relief was perhaps a tad excessive. [say]"Yes daddy!"[/say] she replied - like he had to tell her twice to be friends with anyone! - and turned her focus on Sugar.
The girl could have spent the the rest of the day on the little dragon. It was beautiful and fierce and altogether lovely, which only cemented her desire to befriend one for herself.
The promise of swimming lessons beckoned however, and before long Seren stepped back, keen and eager for the next game. Lesson. Thing.
As long as it was fun. And it was. At least, when she figured out how to hold her breath and didn't swallow half the sea.
