It don’t linger, cause Zeph’s just called me wise (fuck yeah I am) but it’s clear I got worries an’ some other things on m’mind.
[say] “Yeh, I know.”[/say] I’ll never have a friend like Ella again, so that kinda loss is a one-time thing. It’s like losin’ a sister, a piece’a ya that ya didn’t think twice about an’ took it for granted until it was gone.[say] “But that’s livin’. Either yeh let ‘em in an’ take a risk or not. But only you can decide if it’s worth it.”[/say]
[say] “Like these fuckin’ Outlanders. We let ‘em in. Has it been worth it?”[/say] I shrug, genuinely not knowin’ the answer. Things ain’t worse, yet. But I also know most’a the conflict comes around Jack an’ smugglin’, so maybe we just can’t tell until the Ark’s back.
