RE: breathe fire over mist - Arialla - 09-26-2020

Arialla nodded to Melita: it looked like she'd just found her next offering, if she could get it fixed. She doubted she'd find a perfectly-cut mirror glass here on the beach, but you never knew -- and an imperfect piece would be a step forward, at least. [say]"I'll see what I can do."[/say]

She turned back to the beach and started going through the last few objects left scattered about -- looking for glass, but also just trying to finish up their tidying and bring the last few things back to the piles. She'd use the bags she'd brought for anything small enough, and drag larger objects. They'd done a pretty good job, hadn't they?

Arialla's looking for glass while grabbing the last few debris!

RE: breathe fire over mist - Melita - 09-26-2020

Unfortunately for Milo, as it had been the ongoing theme, his search came up relatively empty. A few bits and pieces here and there that could’ve had the makings of gilded fragments, porcelain shards, or anything else rendered from someone’s personal belongings, but for the most part its timber. While valuable in its own right, it likely wasn’t going to fetch anyone a great, grand gesture, and the opportunity was lost for another day.

Arialla’s luck had run out too. While naught hastened at her in terms of wounds, like Milo, she didn’t find any glass either – only contortions from the sea, ancient and long past what Safrin would likely find pleasing in terms of reflection.

However, the rest of the time they could tend to the piles, holstering them into carts, the salvaged contortions capable of going directly to any businesses, shops, or kiosks that had suffered, and the debris eventually meant for the flames, with new ash to spread in revitalizing purposes. Once they’d completed the venture, Melita dusted and wiped her hands together; a fine day’s work despite any setbacks. [say]“Thank you so much for helping,”[/say] and she meant it, with her wide grin. The distraction had been worth the time, the energy, and the shoreline looked far better. [say]“Best get that looked at,”[/say] she mentioned to Milo; the entire expanse of his arm could probably use Vai’s touch. [say]“Maybe you can find some glass at the market?”[/say] She proffered to Arialla, since it hadn’t been uncovered here today.

Then they could call it a day, their mission accomplished.
