The water had failed them. There was no cure, at least in the Hollowed Ground. But maybe elsewhere had better luck. That thought dragged Amun out of his studio towards the portal in the Spire.
He stumbled through the fog to Torchline. Glancing around at the streets that were filled even in the dead of night, he frowned. Swaying in front of the entrance to the portal, Zhanshi tugged the potter forward.
He followed his companion through the city in a daze. There were shadows in the corners of his eyes and he flinched as they chittered at him. Eventually, he stopped at a door that was vaguely familiar looking. Staring at it, he brought his hand up and rapped at it in a skittering and uneven rhythm. [say]"Anyone home? Who brought me here?"[/say]
