RE: halt and catch fire - Samuel - 02-02-2021

Somehow, he really had managed to solve a social situation instead of creating it. On a little bit of a high from that bizarre event, Sam smiled and chatted to the blacksmith as she made the device. Eventually it was done and he took it away with thanks and a promise of whatever she needed from his shop (this barter system they held was ancient and intricate, understood by the merchants of the town)

They got back and he considered his part of the process done, until Nate asked him to pump the bellows. He almost refused, sure he'd somehow manage to break it, but a little shread of confidence made him just nod. Sam stepped forward and activated the pump, getting the water into the device - the moment of truth.

RE: halt and catch fire - Wessex - 02-03-2021

Yes, the world is a weird place lately - what with Sam solving problems and him and Nate getting along - but it keeps on turning and hopefully will continue to do so. The Wraith watches as the pieces are fit together and even reveals her private surprise that (thus far) it’s working. Inching closer to see if it’s working, Wessex watches as Sam starts to move the pump and the water in the outer section begins to circulate correct me if this is wrong, guys in what appears to be a successful fashion.

Wearing a pleased/satisfied look, Wessex nods her head.[say] “Good job, team. Nate, can you take this to Torchline for safe keeping. The Climb will have to wait until Flowerbirth.”[/say] Which means that at least one of them has to survive - if not all three. She says it like it’s a fact, like it’s going to be fine, and perhaps it will be. But still, best to keep it out of the potential ruckus. Just in case.

We’re done, thank you friends!
