you've got a friend in me - Paige - 04-07-2021
With the monsoons, she wasn't really supposed to be outside. Except the wind and rain have let up for the first time in days. Everything is wet and there is debris scattered in the street, but that doesn't stop Paige from slipping out from under her mother's watchful eye towards the port. There were plenty of things to get up to there. Vendors selling sweets, little spaces to hide, and so many people to watch. Her sandaled feet splash through puddles, down wet sandy roads, and finally over waterlogged planks that make up the long docks that line the coast. Paige ducks under arms and weaves between legs, hair still damp from the light drizzle that falls from the gray clouds above. Surely there was something she could get up to here.
