Umbra chirped again, and wriggled out of Seren's arms. The girl smiled and let him go; she was not needed in this game, and was content to keep dozing while the others played.
As dragon and panther headed for the water to splash and play, catch fish and share seafood meals, the young demigod gradually drifted off in the warmth of the sea and sun.
Lulled by wind and the sighing waves, it would be a good while before she woke up again. By that time, the tide would have turned, making the return back into the city än easy journey. Pleasant too, with a new friend for company.
