Two soldiers, both strong and able soldiers who love Halo dearly, march into the Kraai. They hand the letter to Neron, ready to escort him away as he learns its contents.
Neron Launceleyn,
Your presence in Halo will no longer be tolerated. For too long your crimes have gone unpunished. You are banished from this frozen kingdom. Leave immediately, or there will be further consequences.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to hand a letter to someone who is not there. And as the soldiers arrive, presumably at the Kraai, they will find it dark and cold and empty. And upon the door, a note is pinned in the Launceleyn's very elegant handwriting:

Haters gonna gate. Spymasters gonna spy. And with the foresight of those who get out before the going gets tough, Neron has employed the age-old sentiment "you can't fire me, I quit".
He's gone. No need to escort him out.
