Mabel is gone - Wessex doesn’t know how the dragon can do what it did, but she knows well enough what death looks like.
Gideon is gone - she watches her chakram miss and holds out her hand to prepare to throw another, but he’s disappeared before it fully returns to her hand.
Cian is gone - but maybe his secrets remain, and maybe they can make up for the losses they’ve already endured. With her chakram in one hand and a biopulse prepared to fend off any approaching dragons, the demigod attempts to make it to Cian’s body, grab the nearest limb, and teleport herself plus the corpse into Halo.

Ready to either slice at an approaching dragon or set off a biopulse, Wessex tries to gtfo by teleporting to Halo with Cian's body.
Magic: Teleportation | Can teleport to any board that Wessex has already visited, OR can teleport to an adjacent board that she's visited with someone else. If used within the same board, requires a 1-post cool down period between uses.

It streaks down, fat but fast with shiny golden claws that seek and take.
The good news is that Wessex is able to leave the Cordillera—with Cian in tow—completely unharmed.
The bad news...well. Isla and Az might be able to fill you in a bit better, but... let's just say as Wessex arrives in Halo, she'll feel a good deal lighter.
