It's weird and maybe a little morbid, but an eye upgrade comes to Nikolai. There are no instructions on how to integrate it, but there is a nice little note.

This is an eye upgrade Sam had. I know it's a little morbid, but thought you might be able to make use of it. I think he'd want the family to be better equipped for... anything that might come up in the future. Play around with it, see what happens. I hope it's something you like.

It is a rather morbid thing but thank you. I think he'd have wanted that too. I'll take good care of it. I miss Sam so it's kind of nice to have something of his. Even something like this.
