RE: squad goals - Everest - 04-18-2022

[say]"Not ever."[/say] Ever grumbles under his breath, though in their futures, the Hart boy will likely be the only one to maintain this attitude. Something in his brain makes him want to ask if Mateo has heard from Paige, but so close on the heels of mentioning Frey (or because of, in all likelihood), Ever opts to bring it up later. Or never, maybe.

Slithering out of his warm clothes as well, Ever inclines his head to a bank of lockers where such things are meant to be hung up. [say]'Mhmmm! All of the vegetables and things anyway. And a lot of water is collected from the condescension and is then recycled. It's a self-contained ecosystem."[/say] Ever explains. Having gone on multiple tours of the greenhouse, he's confident he can parrot almost the entire spiel that's normally given.

[say]"Root vegetables are there, marrow's over there, cruciferous are there, and leafy green ones there."[/say] Pointing to different sections of the Greenhouse, Ever fluffs out his curls where they have begun to stick to his forehead. [say]"Most of the flowers are in the back, and then herbs and things over there. Where do you want to go first?"[/say]

RE: squad goals - Mateo - 04-18-2022

Barely remembering to skedaddle back and put his things in a locker - Mateo would normally hang them up on the floor permanently, but this is absolutely a place he can respect - the boy listens with rapt attention to Ever's explanations. [say]"That's fascinating,"[/say] he mumbles, and he means it, his head tilting up as if to try and find the places where the water might collect, where the ecosystem's lifecycle begins and ends.

[say]"I want to see everything,"[/say] he mumbles, grinning to Everest. [say]"Let's go flowers first and around that way. I wonder whether they are able to keep it so that even perennials can bloom all year round. I don't see why not..."[/say] And on and on in this vein, both boys will make an entire afternoon of the greenhouse tour. And honestly? It's a memory Mateo will carry around with him for a long time after.
