More to occupy her mind with - at this rate, Maea would have work until Flowerbirth and beyond. Maybe when this time arrive next year, she might not even have to pretend to enjoy it anymore. That was the plan, at least.
Provided she survived the war, of course. Provided any of them did.
Finishing up her task, the conversation gradually shifted to other, more practical matters as time passed. With the light an influx of new arrivals began. Maea lingered to watch and learn as much as she could, until her head swam with new information. Only when she began to make mistakes did she leave, waving goodbye for now as she returned home.
She would be back the next day, though.
