I understand you have recently suffered a horrific attack to your face. I hope this helps.
The note arrives with no return address or signature. Enclosed is a broken shard of mirror that when looked upon makes the user appear pristine and beautiful. When set down though, it hisses and suggests never leaving the house without a veil.
(This 'magical' item cannot be added to a profile, cannot be used in any significant way, etcetc).
