RE: A chisel in a failing fist - Amanda - 10-05-2022

"Ooooh, nice!" Amanda eagerly accepts the tourmaline, already having a few clients in mind who might offer her a good deal for such a large stone. This trip was proving to be profitable already.

As the volcanic stones gradually cooled, she let Evie take her pick. Whatever was left over, she tucked away into her own backpack, which was quite heavily laden by the time it was all done. She hoisted the burden onto her back, huffing a bit at the effort of carrying it. She wasn't that strong, but she knew she could handle hauling the load back as long as she took her time.

"Who's Jack?" she asked. "Your boyfriend?" She winked at Melita. Even if it wasn't the case, the girl's huge grin must have come from somewhere.

RE: A chisel in a failing fist - Evie - 10-07-2022

Evie doesn’t linger long over the stones, picking them with no real logic, only those that were most appealing to the eye. Frey had not specified quantity or quality, but she tries to ensure she has a good collection of varying sizes. Stepping away and secreting them away into her own bag, the Evergreen winces with sympathy at Amanda’s own much larger and heavier bag.

Though her eyes cut curiously to Melita at Amanda’s question, the Evergreen doesn’t personally see the Honeybee as the type to be tied down so young. Still, what does she know? [say]“Thank you for these. Perhaps we’ll see you in town? Oh, and good luck with your business,”[/say] she wishes kindly, smiling slightly. It warms as she turns back to Melita, offering a walk with the tilt of her chin. The three part ways, each laden with the rocks they’d wanted.
