There were no other attacks to make. Their training was done, and the Sentinel hadn’t held anything back like they had agreed. Was it a moment he felt would humble Talyson more? Surely. But Noah didn’t want to use it as a time to stoke his own ego. He felt skin and sinew come back together, but the blood in his boot was becoming uncomfortable. Talyson fell back and stayed down, and Noah let out his breath.
Noah sat in the snow beside Tal, his spear laying on the other side of him, with a shit-eating grin bright and untreatable on his face. [say]”Good work, kid.”[/say] Noah said, sincerity behind the words despite the look on his face.
