[say]"...Oh."[/say] Emmett felt a little disappointed by the end of the story, as if he had been cheated out of a happy ending. He supposed Caiside must really have felt that way when he lived it. [say]"I guess...sometimes things do just end like tha'."[/say] A part of him wanted to urge Caiside to go make amends, but he knew it would be impossible; whoever his Prince was was now trapped away in anoher world.
Caiside's offer to help on the farm was a surprise. Someone so pretty didn't seem like someone williing to shove their hands in muck and hay. But Emmett was not in a position to turn down any help. [say]"That'd...be real nice. Y'could just come over whenever you wanna help. I'd like that. Harvest is comin' up in a couple months, so."[/say] He smiled at Caiside genuinely, shining streaks of tears catching the light on his cheeks.
