Melita let out a long, long sigh as she crouched down to pick up another bottle, remainders and reminders of LongNight’s bonfire and dolphin escapades, which seemed like lifetimes ago now. Of course, it wasn’t so much the notion of grabbing at the empty refuse, so much as the culmination of events spiraling around her lately. [say]“So, I did talk to Safrin. If it weren’t for Ronin, I’d probably be cursed,”[/say] she offered haphazardly to Flora, talking with her hands, mind already conjuring a gift basket full of alcohol for the White Knight and some other goodies tucked within. Dusting her palms together, she narrowed her eyes, glancing over the horizon and the sea, tucking a shudder from the cooler breeze into her garments, trying to remember everything else.
The Sword cast a long shadow as he walked and trailed behind his son’s rambling strides, snorting as the youth nearly fell, then carried on without a care. Overly protective to a fault, as he had no intention of simply letting Erebos run wild throughout Torchline on his own, he maintained a decent distance, certain he’d be able to unfurl anything that threatened any of the boys, while still permitting a fair amount of boyish mischief to be held without close, hovering proximity.

But even then he noticed the alteration in the air – not unlike Halo, it seemed the winter season had been slow to slip away from even the warmer climates. His eyes narrowed, speculative, as he raised his jawline, catching the sea breeze on his face, then tilting his head ever so slightly, contemplating the other proportions. Perhaps a grasp of Deepfrost that had yet to be shaken off, or something else altogether.

Though, he supposed, he could ask, as he saw the Queen of Torchline nearby. [say]“Flora,”[/say] he nodded, trying to recall the last time they’d spoken, in between many announcements and stars amidst the sky, unaware of the other alterations from Safrin herself. [say]“Congratulations on your engagement,”[/say] he granted with a small, easygoing smile, but figuring her wedding would be the exact opposite of what he and Evie had concocted.

Erebos had been buzzing in anticipation the whole journey over from Halo to Torchline, on the promise of prospective friends. Even as he’d stayed on his father’s back, clutching thunderbird feathers, his energy had been a frenetic, unwinding thing with a chasing grin, hopeful to make new acquaintances. Halo wasn’t always buzzing with a massive means of kids, especially his age, and Idalia was still an infant and therefore not very fun. Orsino had been less impressed with the jaunt over, but he’d ensured the frost fox was in good hands too, so when they landed on sandy soil and into coastal exchanges, his eyes had been wide open with wonder.

So he and ran along the dunes, feet so versed for the snow more than a little confused by the sand, configuring his steps into something more obliging for the speed he wanted, his companion screeching behind him in icy pinnacles. His father wasn’t far behind, a careful and pragmatic eye, but his intentions had been placed upon the identical twin (!) lads nearby. [say]“Hi!”[/say] he waved, all enthusiasm and glee, before tripping, nearly falling, then pushing himself back up. Not to be daunted, he gave a toothy grin. [say]“I’m Erebos!”[/say]
