Sliced from a blade it didn't even see, the canine staggered back a step, blinking stupidly the way dogs often will while staring accusatorily at Talyson. Parting its jaws to roar unhappily in response to the pain, Flora 's feather lodges itself in the back of its throat, dripping poison down into its stomach.  Staggering, Melita 's arrows strike it neatly in the side, causing it to topple over into a helpless heap of fading purple and sickly black.

For a moment its paws twitch uselessly, before all light leaves the creature.

Congratulations! You've killed a dog!

The Fyrhund can be looted for:

Infected Void Teeth | The teeth of an infected void fyrhund which can be crafted into a weapon by a god. The teeth will always cause an injury to the person wielding it on a failed attack.

Infected Void Fyrhund Pelt | The pelt of an infected void fyrhund which can be created into armor by a god. The pelt provides mastered-level protection against attacks, but makes the wearer attack whoever is closest to them while wearing it.

Tal HP: 440/440
Flora HP: 223/300
Mel HP: 550/550

Void Fyrhund: 0/486 **killed by Flora for leveling purposes.

So that nothing is missed, please include a quick summary at the bottom of your post, including any items that you're bringing with you. Items on your profile are always assumed to be with you (unless stated otherwise), but anything else needs to be listed in your opening post or it will not count for future posts!

RE: still a good boy - Melita - 12-01-2023

It didn’t take very long between the three, or two of them, depending on where Flora ended up as she maneuvered into nothingness. The dog fell, all remnants of purple and ash and soot signifying something Melita wouldn’t be able to name. [say]“You all right?”[/say] She asked into the air, presuming the Doubletake was somewhere nearby, unless she’d already fucked back off to the ship.

[say]“The fuck was this all about,” [/say]she uttered, mostly to herself, as she wandered closer. Noticing a pelt, she snagged it immediately and placed it within her bag quickly, efficiently, along with that stolen machete she’d taken from Edmund ages ago.

Mel takes the pelt!

RE: still a good boy - Talyson - 12-01-2023

Having the gods (and demigods - hi Ronin!) on their side really helped, though even after the dog tottered over and collapsed Tal didn't quite relax.

He did jump roughly three inches off the ground when a ghost patted his arm, however, before Flora 's voice registered and the courier sheepishly realized who it was. With her hand helpfully on his arm he could just reach carefully across his body to find her invisible fingers and squeeze them lightly, activating the ability of the ring to send a pulse of mastered healing into her.

"Hey, that thing looked like it got y'pretty good. Are you okay?" he asked, on the heels of Melita's question. He winced when he realized he'd just repeated her, shutting up and afraid to say more.

He let the Honeybee take point in poking around the carcass to make sure the thing was really dead, hanging back until she was done before he cautiously edged over to do some poking of his own at the weird purple drool coming off it. And oh, hey, some of its claws had conveniently come loose as well, so he scooped those into his Bag of Holding for later.

Tal heals Flora with his ring and snags the claws!

Type: Light | Style: Other | Level: Mastered
Ring of Mending | A silver ring imprinted with gold, as if it has been kissed. Capable of delivering Mastered Healing to one target of the wearer's choosing.

[say]"Fuck, yeah, it really hurts."[/say] Twisting her ring in order to become visible again, Flora holds out her arm for the other two to see. Already her fingers were swollen and red as blood rushed to the area. The punctures from the bite were incredibly neat and even, and though only minutes had passed, already thick purple-black mounds of blood were clotting around the openings.

Accepting the healing with a nod, Flora watched as at least some of the redness and swelling died down, though far less than what she'd have expected. Maybe Tal's ring was just really weak? [say]"Thanks."[/say] She muttered, offering the courier a tight smile before pulling her arm to her chest and cradling it there.

Watching as the two wackos carved out parts of the dog, Flora theatrically gagged as she waited for Melita to be done. [say]"Let's go, this sucked."[/say]
