Forgive Asta, he's very old."[/say] Patting the other man's shoulder in consolation, luckily enough, the Maverick is soon very distracted by Charlie's dip into the lava pools, his head tilting as if he might be able to get a look even further up her dress if he tries hard enough.
[say]"The skyships will take us down to Torchline from here,"[/say] he agrees, trailing over to the lava pools as well to enjoy the heat rippling from them if nothing else. [say]"You can pick up whatever you think you might need, and then we can head home."[/say] And gods, he must like it in the Grounds, to voluntarily go back to the region's snowy expanse from the islands' tropical shores.

Eyebrows raised, Charlie glances between the two men as they quibble over directions, finding their love-hate relationship entirely adorable. [say]"Well...that's a good point. Who likes old things anyway."[/say] The blonde says, before recalling her own relative age and how the Maverick had just referenced Asta as being old as well. [say]"Except us, huh?"[/say] Winking at the butcher, Charlie left the lava pool, still holding up her dress so that it wouldn't sizzle.
[say]"Torchline it is!"[/say] She agrees enthusiastically, before taking one last look around her former tomb. Had she really just spent half a century just standing here? Dreaming idly as the world went on?
Apparently so.
[say]"Let's go!"[/say]
